2021 IECA Annual Conference Goes Virtual
IECA and GMA Announce Cohosted
Virtual Conference
IECA and IFAI will move the Geosynthetics Conference and IECA Annual Conference (originally scheduled to be co-located in Kansas City, in February 2021) online. The safety, health and well-being of conference attendees has always been the top priority of both organizations. With the latest uptick in cases, stakeholders made the decision to move the event online to provide the safest learning/exhibition environment for attendees.
The virtual conference will be held February 22-25, with preconference sessions beginning on the first day. Education for both conferences will be accessible on an online robust platform that provides access to live and pre-recorded sessions. Education will feature timely content that provides solutions to industry problems during plenary sessions, roundtables, fireside chats, technical papers, poster sessions and short courses.
Attendees can network online with specific industry topics, speaker engagement, roundtable discussions and participate in trivia night. The platform also provides one-on-one interactions through text and video chat capabilities. Attendees can also share their biography, social media and contact information with peers to stay connected post conference.
The virtual expo hall will feature world-class exhibitors showcasing their latest products and services to attendees in a virtual space. Attendees can live chat with booth staff, in addition to viewing product videos, attending education sessions and engaging in networking lounges.
Registration and the revised online schedule will be available before Thanksgiving. Stay tuned for more information coming shortly!
